About this course

Start here if you're moving into security from IT, development or a standing start. You need no prior security experience — only curiosity and a computer you can install tools on. You'll learn how attackers actually think, and why "assume breach" beats building a taller wall. We cover the CIA triad, threat modelling and risk in language a business will act on, then the networking, operating system and web fundamentals every other course assumes you already have — taught from a security angle rather than an administrator's. By the end you'll have a working lab, a vulnerability you found and exploited yourself, and a clear idea of which specialisation to pursue: red team, blue team, GRC or application security.
